An elite level swimmer himself: 2002 European Open Water Champs 12th 2003 World Open Water Champs 18th 2004 World Open Water Champs 16th
1st – Great Britain National Youth Medal in the pool over 400m and 1500m Freestyle David was the Junior Coach at Stockport Metro, GB 2007-2009 and coached Swimmers that have gone on to win medals at National Age Champs. Most recently, was the Head Age Group Coach for UEA City of Norwich SC 2009-2010, Coaching 7 GB National Age Group Medallist including Gold in the Boys 12yrs 100m Breaststroke 2010. Coached 22 Swimmers to GB National Age Champs Won Top Club – Regional Age Champs – 2 years
